2020 was an exceptionally challenging year for the entire world. Although 2021 holds the promise of substantial recovery from the Year of the Virus, the impact of the pandemic will be felt far into the future. Because of their commitment, competence and creativity demonstrated yet again in 2020, we are able to face the future with confidence and optimism.

The response of the entire ACG community to the challenges of 2020 was extraordinary. In 2020, we lost a valued member of our community, Dr. S. Sue Horner, and were then called upon to manage the waves of sudden change brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. From the adoption of online learning methods to the invention of health and safety protocols to rescheduling major campus projects to take advantage of campus “downtime,” faculty, staff and students adapted to new realities and kept moving forward.

ACG alumni and friends also responded with higher levels of support. As a result, the ACG community was kept safe and ACG is well-positioned to continue the significant institutional momentum of the last decade.

We look forward to seeing the realization of ACG’s unique potential as we continue to execute the ACG 150 strategic plan and advance our mission in 2021 and beyond.
