Meet AUG
Aghia Paraskevi is a bustling suburb on the Northeast corner of the Athens basin, where the city begins to slope upward to Mount Hymettus. If Athens is one of Europe's safest cities, Aghia Paraskevi is one of the city's safest (and prettiest) areas. ACG's beautiful 64-acre campus is the last vestige of the city before urban development gave way to the Mt. Hymmetus national forest. Its original buildings were designed by renowned Greek architect, Constantine Doxiades. As a result of its unique location, ACG offers a magnificent view of the surrounding countryside, easy access to the trendiest nightlife in the city as well as some of the most spectacular nature walks in Greece.
There are three eating establishments on the Aghia Paraskevi campus: Dipnosofistirio, a qualitative Greek dining chain that is certified as a 'Gold Class' organic kitchen and Starbucks.
Aghia Paraskevi has a bustling commercial district, with grocers, retail stores, florists, bakeries, salons, dry-cleaners, spas and cinemas, all within walking distance or by public transportation from campus.
Just steps away from campus, you can take a walk or bike among the pines of the Mt. Hymettus forest while taking breathtaking views of the entire city from above. In fact, an intrepid hiker can walk the entire 28 kilometer (17.5 mile) length of the mountain, past quant monasteries, caves, rest stops and scenic points.
