About the John S. Bailey Library
John S. Bailey Library is the central library of The American College of Greece and is located at the heart of Deree College in Aghia Paraskevi. The library was designed in 1973 and dedicated in 1975. It is named in honor of Dr. John S. Bailey, a leading figure in Greek independent education who served as the 6th president of ACG (1975 - 2008). Today, John S. Bailey Library has become a dynamic learning space aiming at supporting any teaching, learning and research endeavor within the ACG community. By offering access to a diverse collection of print and electronic resources, John S. Bailey Library plays a key role in fostering literacy, in-depth research, and scholarly communication. It provides a warm and friendly environment for study, computer usage, or interaction with peers. Following a renovation in 2020, the library now features the ACG Digital Museum, a multi-use conference classroom, and eighteen (18) study rooms. John S. Bailey Library is, by no doubt, a popular focal point within the ACG community.
