The American University of Greece is governed by a voluntary Board of Trustees, currently eighteen members
The board holds overall stewardship responsibility for AUG, delegating primary operating authority to the president, who acts as an ex-officio and non-voting member. Board members do not receive financial compensation and are expected to support the university through personal philanthropy.
